AO "Association for Waste Recovery", announces The launch conference of the project "Solid waste management through the active involvement of the community in Străseni district", Friday, October 2, at 9:30 a.m., at the headquarters of the Străseni Municipality, Meeting Room.

By launching this project, the Association aims to contribute directly to increasing community awareness and participation in order to reduce the impact of waste on the environment and health.

Obviously, it is not an easy task, rather a challenge, but through coordinated and well-planned actions, we want to succeed together with the target beneficiary groups of the project (inhabitants of the targeted communities, teachers, librarians, students, LPAs, NGOs cities, sanitation operators and economic agents) the gradual reduction of the amount of waste reaching the landfill, the increase in the share of selectively collected recyclable waste and, of course, the increase in the number of citizens, who will contribute to improving the quality of sanitation services by honoring the obligation to pay for these services.

aA "Association for Waste Recovery" is the beneficiary of the European Union Local Grants Program and implements the project "Solid waste management through active community involvement" in the 6 localities of Străseni district (Străseni municipality, Scoreni village, Lozova commune, Vorniceni village, Negrești village and Sireți village), Central ADR region. The project will be carried out between September 2020 and August 2021.

The local grants program is launched on the basis of the EU Single Support Framework, granted for the Republic of Moldova (2017-2020) within the European Neighborhood Instrument, through the project "Empowering the citizens of the Republic of Moldova" (2019-2021), financed by European Union and implemented by German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ). The project partner for the Center region is Association for Efficient and Responsible Governance AGER in partnership with Public Association "Habitat" Regional Development Agency (AO ADR "Habitat").
