AO AVD officially announces the launch of the National Photo Contest "Without PLASTIC - I feel FANTASTIC!"

July is the month we say "NO" to plastic pollution, a fact for which, today, July 5th, AO Association for Waste Recovery with the financial support of the European Union, launches The national photo contest "Without PLASTIC I feel Fantastic!". The idea of this contest is to promote, through creation, the practices of reuse, recycling and reduction of plastic waste among the population of all ages in the Republic of Moldova.

Conditions of participation:

  1. Each participant must submit a photo that will illustrate the campaign message  "Without PLASTIC - I feel fantastic!" by capturing in the most creative and informative way the methods/alternatives by which we can reduce or replace plastic in the current activity (e.g. at home, office, walks in nature, etc.)
  2. The minimum size accepted for photos is 1.5 MB (2048 x 1536 pixels or 1536 x 2048 pixels) and a maximum of 5 photos will be accepted;
  3. The photos will be sent by 15.08.2021 in (.jpg) format. Materials received after this date will not be reviewed.

Judging criteria:

The photos entered in the contest will be judged entirely by the members of the judging team. In total, 3 winners will be selected, whose pictures will personalize the annual calendar for the year 2022 and who will have the opportunity to choose one of the prizes:
First place - 2000 lei
Second place – 1000 le
Third place – 500 lei

*All participants in the competition will benefit from an annual subscription version (.pdf) to the Quarterly Magazine "Waste management"

Thanks to the Project "Without PLASTIC I feel Fantastic!", implemented with the financial support of the European Union and the photography contest, we aim to raise public awareness of the consequences of plastic waste pollution and to disseminate as many practical and sustainable alternatives as possible in the fight against this waste.
