The project "Give up PLASTIC: Informed communities with less waste generated<\/strong>\u201d aims to inform the population of different ages with reference to the impact of plastic on the environment and health, and respectively to reduce the amount of plastic waste generated at national level, including the costs related to the management of this waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project beneficiary localities belong prioritar Regiunii de Management De\u0219euri 5 (r-le Nisporeni, C\u0103l\u0103ra\u0219i \u0219i Ungheni) din care fac parte 157 localit\u0103\u021bi <\/strong>with about 234 thousand inhabitants <\/strong>and which generate in the environment 10530 tons of plastic waste annually<\/strong> (estimativ 45 kg plastic\/locuitor\/anual) conform rezultatelor Studiului privind de\u0219eurile din plastic. Respectiv, cel pu\u021bin 97 % sau 10214 tone de\u0219euri din plastic din aceste localit\u0103\u021bi sunt eliminate la gunoi\u0219ti neconforme \u0219i vor continua s\u0103 polueze c\u00e2teva sute de ani mediul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cel mai bun de\u0219eu este cel care nu exist\u0103. \u00cen cazul de\u0219eurilor din plastic – reciclarea s-a dovedit a nu fi cea mai eficient\u0103 solu\u021bie, doar 3 % din total de\u0219euri din plastic generate la nivel na\u021bional fiind reciclate<\/a>. Today, products packaged in single-use plastic are sold on the national market, which are difficult or not at all recyclable and which in some cases pose major risks to the health of the population. The situation is very difficult, especially in the urban and rural localities of the country, which do not have the necessary infrastructure for the collection of this waste. These realities require urgent measures, based on a different approach than the current one, namely proactive measures, focused on prevention and directly "Closing the tap for single-use plastic packaging that cannot be recycled!"<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obiectivele proiectului:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Promoting the objectives of the national program "Solid Waste Management" through involvement
    \u0219i sensibilizarea popula\u021biei din localit\u0103\u021bile beneficiare (RMD 5) \u00een ac\u021biuni de reducere a polu\u0103rii cu plastic. Lansarea Campaniei na\u021bionale \u201eIulie F\u0103r\u0103 Plastic 2024\u201d cu genericul "Turning off the faucet - Stopping plastic pollution<\/strong>"<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Promovarea ini\u021biativei legislative pentru interzicerea utiliz\u0103rii ambalajelor de polistiren (PS)<\/strong> care intr\u0103 \u00een contact direct cu produsele alimentare. Acest tip de de\u0219eu se acumuleaz\u0103 \u00een cantit\u0103\u021bi foarte mari dup\u0103 prima utilizare \u0219i ajunge la gropile de gunoi.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Improving access to quality information and education on the best options for
    prevention and reduction of plastic waste<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Reducing the level of plastic pollution by giving up single-use plastic products.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
